Kansas City Chiefs Booking Details

The Kansas City Chiefs play in the National Football League’s AFC West division along with the Los Angeles Chargers, Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos. They were founded in 1960 as a charter member of the AFL by Lamar Hunt as were known as the Dallas Texans. The team relocated to Kansas City in 1963 and changed their name to the Chiefs.  They have played their home games at Arrowhead Stadium since 1972.

The Chiefs won three AFL Championships prior to the merger with the NFL in 1962, 1966 and 1969. That last year, they defeated the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl IV, 23-7. Future Hall of Fame quarterback Len Dawson was named MVP and Hank Stram was the winning coach. Among the Chiefs greatest players include Dawson, Neil Smith, Will Shields, Derrick Thomas, Tony Gonzalez, Priest Holmes, Willie Lanier, Jamaal Charles, Christian Okoye, Bobby Bell, Derrick Johnson, Travis Kelce, Dante Hall, Jan Stenerud and Deron Cherry.  Head coaches have included Stram, Mary Schottenheimer, Herm Edwards, Dick Vermeil, Marv Levy and Andy Reid.
