Colorado Rockies Booking Details

The Colorado Rockies compete in Major League Baseball’s National League West division along with the Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres, Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants. The Rockies began play in 1993 as an expansion franchise along with the Miami Marlins and play their home games at Coors Field. Charlie and Dick Monfort are the majority owners. The Rockies’ most successful season came in 2007 when they won 14 of their final 15 regular season games and defeated the San Diego Padres in a wild card play-in game to earn a spot in the postseason. Led by manager Clint Hurdle, they went on to win the National League pennant before falling in the World Series to the Boston Red Sox, 4-0. That same year, the Rockies were named the Baseball America Organization of the Year.

Among the Rockies greatest players include Todd Helton, Dante Bichette, Larry Walker, Andres Galarraga, Nolan Arenado, Vinny Castilla, Ellis Burks, Carlos Gonzalez, Troy Tulowitzki and Matt Holliday. Galarraga, Bichette, Walker and Castilla made up the famed Blake Street Bombers quartet. In 1997, Walker won the NL MVP award.
