Chicago White Sox Booking Details

The Chicago White Sox compete in Major League Baseball’s American League Central division along with the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Indians Minnesota Twins and Kansas City Royals. The White Sox began play as one of the American League’s original eight charter franchises in 1901. They were initially called the White Stockings but the name was shortened to the White Sox. They have played their home games at Guaranteed Rate Field since 1991. Prior to that, they played at Comiskey Park from 1910 – 1990. They are one of two Major League Baseball franchises located in Chicago (the other being the Cubs). They play their spring training games at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, AZ.

The White Sox have won three World Series, in 1906, 1917 and 2005.  In 2005, they swept the Houston Astros, 4-0. Ozzie Guillen was the manager and Jermaine Dye was named MVP. Among the White Sox greatest players include Guillen, Dye, Frank Thomas, Luke Appling, Nellie Fox, Luis Aparicio, Carlton Fisk, Harold Baines, Paul Konerko, Mark Buehrle, Minnie Minoso, Jim Thome and Robin Ventura.
