Lawrence Taylor Booking Agent Details

Considered one of the most dominating linebackers in NFL history, Lawrence Taylor played for the New York Giants from 1981-1993. He was a 10-time Pro Bowl selection and 8-time first-team All-Pro pick. Taylor was the leader of a Giants defense (which included Hall of Famer Harry Carson and Carl Banks) that won two Super Bowls. As a testament to his domination, Taylor was named to both the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team and NFL 100th Anniversary All-Time Team. He became a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1999. Taylor’s accolades include…

• Two-Time NFC Defensive Player of the Year (1984, 1986)
• Two-Time NFC Player of the Year (1983, 1986)
• Three-Time AP Defensive Player of the Year (1981,1982, 1986)
• NFL Sacks Leader (1986)
• PFWA NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1986)
• NEA NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1986)
• NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year (1981)
• Pro Football Hall of Fame
• Giants Ring of Honor
• # 56 Jersey Retired by Giants

Taylor amassed double-digit quarterback sacks every season from 1984-1990 and led the NFL in 1986 when he recorded a career-best 20.5 sacks. For his play that season, he received most every defensive award and was named the NFL’s MVP, which made him only the second defensive player in history to win the award (the other being Alan Page).

Taylor played college football at North Carolina where in 1980 he was a unanimous All-American and the ACC Player of the Year. He was picked by the Giants with the 2nd overall pick in the NFL Draft of 1981. During his first year in the NFL, Taylor had 9.5 sacks in route to being named Rookie of the Year and AP Defensive Player of the Year, the only rookie to ever win the latter. Taylor was born on February 4, 1959 in Williamsburg, Virginia.
