Carlton Fisk Booking Agent Details

Carlton Fisk enjoyed a long and prosperous 24-year career playing baseball for the Boston Red Sox (1969, 1971-1980) and Chicago White Sox 1981-1993). Considered one of the top catchers in MLB history, Fisk was named the 1972 American League Rookie of the Year in route to being named an All-Star 11 times. Known for his offensive prowess, Fisk won three Silver Slugger Awards and held the all-time mark of 351 homers by a catcher at the time he retired (he was later surpassed by Mike Piazza). His 24 seasons at catcher still stands as a record and his 2,226 games played was also a record for a catcher at the time of his retirement (he was later surpassed by Ivan Rodriguez). Fisk became a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.

Fisk will always be remembered for his heroics in the 1975 World Series as the Red Sox faced the Oakland A’s. Playing Game 6 at Fenway Park and with Fisk at the plate in the bottom of the 12th inning, Fisk hit a ball that struck the left field foul pole, giving Boston a 7-6 win. The image of Fisk waving for a fair ball has become one of the most iconic images in baseball history. Fisk was born on December 26, 1947 and grew up on Charlestown, New Hampshire. Fisk was picked by the Red Sox in the 1967 draft (1st round) and made his MLB debut on September 18, 1969. The White Sox retired his jersey #72 in 1997 and Red Sox retired his jersey #27 in 2000. Chicago also honored Fisk with a statue at Guaranteed Rate Field. He is additionally a member of the Red Sox Hall of Fame and New Hampshire Athletics Hall of Fame.
