Tony LaRussa Booking Agent Details

Tony LaRussa is Hall of Fame baseball manager who was hired to lead the Chicago White on October 29, 2020. He formerly managed the White Sox (1979-1986), Oakland A’s (1986-1995) and St. Louis Cardinals (1996-2011.) LaRussa’s 2,728 wins as a manager through the end of his tenure in St. Louis ranks third in MLB history behind only Connie Mack and John McGraw. He has been inducted into both the Cardinals and A’s Hall of Fames and was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2014. LaRussa led his teams to 12 division titles and six league championships and won three World Series, in 1989 with Oakland and 2006 and 2011 with St. Louis. In doing so, LaRussa became just the second manager ever to win a Fall Classic in both the National and American Leagues.

In 1983, he led the White Sox to a spot in the American League Championship Series, earning his first Manager of the Year honor. LaRussa earned three more Manager of the Year awards in 1998, 1992 and 2002. Upon arriving in Oakland, La Russa quickly built a championship-caliber team. The Athletics advanced to three straight World Series in 1988, 1989 and 1990, with the ‘89 squad going 8-1 in the postseason in route to a Fall Classic title. During his tenure in St. Louis, the Cardinals posted winning records in 13 of his 16 seasons as skipper. Between leaving St. Louis and going back to Chicago, LaRussa remained active in the game, working with Joe Torre at the league-level and as a front office executive for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Boston Red Sox and Los Angeles Angels. Prior to his managing, LaRussa played 132 games as an infielder in the majors for the Kansas City/Oakland Athletics (1963, 1968-1971), Atlanta Braves (1971) and Chicago Cubs (1973). Away from the game, LaRussa is a well-known advocate for animals and founded the Animal Rescue Foundation in 1991.
