Terry Bowden Booking Agent Details
Terry Bowden served as head coach at Salem (1983-1985), Samford (1987-1992), Auburn (1993-1998), North Alabama (2009-2011) and Akron (2012-2018). He is the son of legendary Florida State (FSU) coach Bobby Bowden. He got his start in coaching as a graduate assistant at FSU before being named head coach at Salem in 1983. In so doing, he became the youngest head coach in the United States at the age of 26. During his time at Salem, Bowden coached the team to two West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference titles. After a stop at Samford, Bowden was named head coach at Auburn in 1993 and, in his first season, he coached the Tigers to an undefeated 11-0 season and became the first head coach in Division I history to finish undefeated his first year. The next season, the Bowden-led Tigers finished 9-1-1 and enjoyed a 20-game winning streak, the longest in Auburn history.
After leaving Auburn, Bowden worked as a college football analyst for ABC Sports, Westwood One and Sirius Satellite Radio before returning to coaching at North Alabama and Akron. During his stint at Akron, he coached the Zips to their first-ever bowl win in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl against Utah State. Bowden played collegiately at the University of West Virginia and lettered twice at running back. He graduated magna cum laude with an accounting degree. He also did post-graduate studies at Oxford University and earned a Juris Doctor degree from Florida State.
