Rollie Fingers is a retired relief pitcher who, during his 17-year baseball career, pitched for the Oakland A's (1968–1976), San Diego Padres (1977–1980) and Milwaukee Brewers (1981–1985). Fingers became only the second reliever to be elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame when he was inducted in 1992. He is also one of a small number of MLB players to have his number retired by more than one team. Fingers was born on August 25, 1946 in Steubenville, Ohio. After moving to Southern California with his family, Fingers attended Upland high School and Chaffey Junior College. He went signed with the Kansas City Athletics in 1964 and made his MLB debut on September 15, 1968.
