Luke Kuechly is a retired inside linebacker who played eight seasons in the NFL from 2012-2019 with the Carolina Panthers. From 2013-2019, he was named to seven consecutive Pro Bowls and was a five-time First-team All-Pro selection. In 2016 and 2019, Kuechly was named a Second-Team All-Pro.

Kuechly’s accolades are extensive. In 2012, after leading the NFL with 164 tackles (which he’d do again in 2014,) he was named the Defensive Rookie of the Year. In 2013, he was awarded the Defensive Player of the Year, the youngest winner ever. And in 2014, 2015 and 2017, he was recognized with the pro Butkus Award as the NFL’s best linebacker.

Kuechly was drafted by the Panthers in the 1st round (9th pick overall) of the 2012 draft out of Boston College, where he was named the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2009. In 2010 and 2011, he was named a consensus All-American, and as a junior in 2011, he won the Butkus Award (college), Bronko Nagurski Award, Lombardi Award and Lott Trophy. Kuechly was also a three time First-Team All-ACC pick. He was born on April 20, 1991 in Cincinnati, Ohio and went to school at St. Xavier High School.
