Quarterback Joe Flacco was picked by the NFL’s Baltimore Ravens in the 1st round of the 2008 NFL Draft and went on to spend 11 seasons with the team through 2018 before playing for the Denver Broncos (2019) and New York Jets (2020). He quarterbacked the Ravens to six playoff appearances and two AFC North titles. In the 2012 season, Flacco led Baltimore to a 12-4 record, throwing for 3,817 yards and 22 scores during the regular season. The Ravens advanced to the postseason and eventually made it to Super Bowl XLVII, where Baltimore defeated San Francisco, 34-31. Flacco was named MVP of the title game behind a 287-yard, three-touchdown performance. He was exceptional throughout the entire 2012 postseason, tying an NFL record with Hall of Famer Joe Montana by throwing 11 touchdowns without a single interception.

In 2008, his first year in the NFL, Flacco threw for 2,971 yards, 14 touchdowns and had a 60.0 completion rate, a performance that earned him Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. The 2010 season saw Flacco set a career-high passer rating of 93.6, while in 2014 his 27 passing td’s also set a new career-best. Flacco is the holder of numerous Baltimore franchise records by a quarterback, including most wins in the regular season, career passing yards, completions and passing touchdowns. Born on January 16, 1985 in Audubon, New Jersey, Flacco attended Audubon High School and started his college football career at Pittsburgh before transferring to the U. of Delaware, where his career took off. In 2007, he was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference Player of the Year and Co-Offensive Player of the Year. He similarly earned first-team All-ECAC honors that year.
