Eric Wood is a former NFL offensive lineman who played his entire nine-year career from 2009-2017 with the Buffalo Bills, playing and starting in a total of 120 games. Beginning his NFL career at guard, Wood was moved to center in 2011 where he would play the majority of his professional career. In 2015 Wood, as starting center, was named to the Pro Bowl, having blocked in front of tailback LeSean McCoy, who was also named to the Pro Bowl. That same year, in recognition of his community involvement and philanthropic efforts, Wood was named as Buffalo’s finalist for the 2015 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.

Wood was born on March 18, 1986 in Cincinnati and attended Elder High School. From there, he played college football at Louisville from 2004-2008, earning numerous accolades before turning professional. In 2005, he was named a first-team Freshman All-American. After earning second-team All-Big East honors in 2006, in the following seasons of 2007 and 2008 he was named first-team All-Big East. The Bills chose Wood with the 28th selection in the 1st round of the 2009 NFL Draft. After his playing days, Wood worked as a writer for The Athletic and in broadcasting as a color commentator for the Bills Radio Network.
