Jonathan Papelbon Booking Agent Details
Jonathan Papelbon is a former MLB relief pitcher who played from 2005-2016 with the Boston Red Sox (2005-2011), Philadelphia Phillies (2012-2015) and Washington Nationals (2015-16). Papelbon was one of baseball’s premier closers throughout his career, and was named an All-Star six times (2006-2009, 2012, 2015). He holds numerous Red Sox records, including the most saves by a rookie in a season, the first player in team history to record three 30 save seasons and the franchise’s all-time leader in saves with 219.

In 2006, his first full season with the Red Sox, he posted a 4-2 record, 0.92 ERA and 35 saves and finished in second place in that year’s A.L. Rookie of the Year voting. That year would also be the beginning of four straight All-Star selections. During that period, Papelbon’s ERA never exceeded 2.34 while he recorded at least 35 saves and appeared in no less than 59 games.

In 2007, Papelbon had a 1.85 ERA and 37 saves and played an important role in helping Boston to victory in the World Series over Colorado as he recorded two saves in the Fall Classic. For his efforts, he was named Delivery Man of the Year as the league’s best relief pitcher. Papelbon would go on to be named an All-Star twice more, once with the Phillies in 2012 and again with the Nationals in 2015. He retired with a career ERA of 2.44 and 368 saves.

Papelbon played college baseball at Mississippi State and was picked by Boston in the 2003 MLB draft (4th round). He made his debut in the Majors on July 31, 2005.
