Evan Longoria is a former MLB third baseman who played for 16 seasons, primarily with the Tampa Bay Rays (2008-2017) as well as the San Francisco Giants (2018-2022) and Arizona Diamondbacks (2023). Longoria batted .264 over the course of his career, hitting 364 home runs with 1,159 RBIs and 1,930 hits. In 2008, Longoria burst onto the scene, capturing American League Rookie of the Year honors behind a 27-home run, 85-RBI campaign that also earned him an All-Star appearance, the first of three straight through 2010. That year, he helped the Rays to their first World Series appearance in franchise history.

Longoria had another strong season in 2009, batting .281 with 33 homers and a career-best 113 RBIs. He also won a Gold Glove for his defense at third base in addition to a Silver Slugger for his offensive prowess. In 2010, Longoria was once again an All-Star, winning another Gold Glove. Longoria’s first four seasons in MLB saw him garner AL MVP votes, finishing sixth in 2009. In 2013, Longoria again finished sixth in AL MVP voting when he hit .269 with 32 home runs and 88 RBIs. In 2017, he won his third Gold Glove. His defense was further recognized in 2010 with a Fielding Bible Award. In 2013, he won the Wilson Defensive Player of the Year award.
