Chris Osgood is a former NHL goaltender who played from 1993-2011, primarily with the Detroit Red Wings (1993-2001, 2005-2011) but also the New York Islanders (2001-2003) and St. Louis Blues (2002-2004). Osgood was named an NHL All-Star in 1996, 1997 and 2008. As a member of the Red Wings, he won Stanley Cup titles with the team in 1997, 1998 and 2008 and was the team’s starting goaltender for the 1998 and 2008 championship squads. He ranks 13th all-time in NHL history in wins by a goaltender and 8th in playoff wins.

Twice in 1996 and 2008, Osgood was awarded the William M. Jennings Trophy, given to the NHL goaltender each year who allows the fewest goals. In his career of nearly two decades, Osgood won 401 games, compared to 216 losses. He had a lifetime goals against average of 2.49 and a career save percentage of 90.5%. Osgood followed up his playing career by turning to broadcasting, working as a color commentator and studio analyst for Bally Sports Detroit, providing coverage of Red Wings games. Osgood is also a part-owner of the Saginaw Spirit of the Ontario Hockey League. He was born on November 26, 1972 in Peace River, Alberta.
