Bruce Pearl is a college basketball coach who currently leads the Auburn Tigers. He coached the Tigers to a SEC Championship in 2019 and a berth in the NCAA Final Four. Before taking over at Auburn, Pearl began his coaching career with Stanford as an assistant from 1982-86 before serving in the same capacity at Iowa from 1986-92. He got his first head coaching position at Southern Indiana in 1992. Pearl led the Screaming Eagles to nine consecutive NCAA Division II Tournaments, culminating in a championship for the 1994-95 season behind a 29-4 record.

During his tenure through the 2000-01 season, Southern Indiana never finished with less than 22 wins and made the Sweet 16 or better of the Division II tourney seven out of his nine seasons there. He led Southern Indiana to four Great Lakes Valley Conference titles and his overall record there was 231-46. Pearl won GLVC Coach of the Year honors twice during his tenure. Pearl coached the Milwaukee Panthers from 2001-05, compiling a 86-38 record over five seasons before becoming head coach at Tennessee, where he served from 2005-11 and during which time he won SEC Coach of the Year honors in 2006 and 2008. Outside of college basketball, Pearl coached the United States to a gold medal at the 2009 Maccabiah Games in Tel Aviv, Israel.
