John Naber is a five-time Olympic medalist who won four gold and one silver medal at the 1976 Summer Games in Montreal. Each of his gold-medal performances resulted in world records - 100 meter backstroke, 200 meter backstroke, 4x200 meter backstroke and 4x100 meter medley. He also became the first American swimmer to win two individual medals in one day. Naber attended USC and led the Trojans to the 1977 NCAA Championship while amassing 10 individual and four relay titles. Naber was a three-time winner of the Robert Kiputh Award and was the recipient of the Sullivan Award in 1977 as the best American amateur athlete. He is a member of the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame and, in 1982, he was inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame.

After retiring from competition, Naber served as a member of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics Organizing Committee and launched a successful broadcasting career in which he covered more than than 35 sports for NBC, ABC, CBS, HBO, ESPN, FOX Sports, TBS and Westwood One, Naber has authored two books, “Awaken the Olympian Within: Stories from America’s Greatest Olympic Motivators” and “Eureka! How Innovation Changes the Olympic Games (and Everything Else)”. He was also a contributing author to a book titled “The Power of Character”.
