Jermaine Kearse is a retired wide receiver who played for the Seattle Seahawks from 2012-2016 and New York Jets from 2017-2018. Kearse won a championship with the Seahawks when they defeated the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII, 43-8. In that game, Kearse caught four passes for a total of 65 yards, including one from quarterback Russell Wilson that went for 23 yards and a score. His best season in Seattle came in 2015 when he started all 16 regular season games and caught 49 passes for 685 yards along with five touchdowns. He topped those numbers in 2017 while playing for the Jets with 65 receptions for a total of 810 yards along with five touchdowns. In total for his career, Kearse recorded 255 receptions for 3,290 yards and 17 td's, including six scores during the postseason, which tied him with Doug Baldwin for most in Seattle franchise history.
Kearse signed as a free agent with Seattle in 2012 after he went undrafted out of the University of Washington, where he was twice named second-team All-Pac 10. He led the Huskies in catches in both his sophomore and junior seasons. In total for his college career, Kearse amassed 2,871 yards receiving and 29 td’s on 180 catches. Kearse was born on February 6, 1990 in Lakewood, Washington and went to Lakes High School, where he amassed over 900 yards receiving his last year.
