Wide Receiver Drew Pearson spent his entire 11-year NFL career from 1973-1983 playing with the Dallas Cowboys. He played in three Super Bowls, winning Super Bowl XII. Pearson is a member of the Cowboys Ring of Honor and the NFL 1970s All-Decade Team. Pearson was a three-time Pro Bowl selection in 1974, 1976 and 1977 and, in each of those seasons, he also earned first-team All-Pro honors. In total for his career, Pearson played in 156 games, catching 489 passes for 7,822 yards and 48 touchdowns.

In 1974, he produced his first 1,000-yard-plus season, catching 62 passes for 1,087 yards, both career highs. As Hall of Fame quarterback Roger Staubach’s favorite target, the 1977 season saw Pearson lead the NFL in receiving yards with 870 in route to helping the team to victory in Super Bowl XII over the Denver Broncos. In 1979, he had another solid campaign, hauling in 55 passes for 1,026 yards.

After his playing days, Pearson worked for the Cowboys as a wideouts coach before coaching the Dallas Texans of the Arena Football League in 1991. He also worked as an executive and general manager for the New York/New Jersey Hitmen of the XFL and Allen Wranglers of Champion Indoor Football. He additionally has spent time working as a broadcaster and in private business as CEO of Drew Pearson Companies. Pearson was born on January 12, 1951 in South River, New Jersey and attended college at the University of Tulsa before signing with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 1973. He became a member of the Tulsa Athletics Hall of Fame in 1985.
