Donald Driver is a retired NFL wide receiver who played his entire 14-year career from 1999-2012 with the Green Bay Packers. Driver won a championship with Green Bay in 2010 as the Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, 31-25. A three-time selection to the Pro Bowl (2002, 2006, 2007), Driver is the Packers’ all-time leader in catches and yards receiving. He amassed 1,000+ yards of receiving seven times in his career, including six straight years from 2004-2009. During that time, he started every game for Green Bay. In 2006, Driver set career high marks with 1,295 yards through the air along with 92 receptions and 8 td’s. A seventh round pick in the 1999 draft, Driver attended college at Alcorn State.
Driver has been involved in numerous charitable endeavors throughout his career and, in 2001, the Green Bay Chamber of Commerce honored him with its Community Service Award. His Donald Driver Foundation provides financial support to children with medical bills as well as housing accommodations for the homeless. Driver started the Driven to Achieve Awards in 2014 and to date has awarded more than $1 million to various causes. In 2012, Driver competed on and won season 14 of Dancing with the Stars. He is the author of several books, including a memoir, Driven, that was named a New York Times Best Seller. One of the most beloved figures in Green Bay history, Driver was the recipient in 2013 of a statue and street named in his honor. In 2017, he became a member of the Packers’ Hall of Fame.
