Allyson Felix is the most accomplished female track & field athlete ever as she won 9 Olympic and 18 World Championship medals. Her six Olympic gold medals are the most all-time for a female track & field athlete and her medal count at the World Championships ranks first all-time for a male or female athlete. In 2020, Felix was named one of the year’s Most Influential People by Time magazine.

Felix’s first Olympics came at the 2004 Games in Athens, where at the age of 18 she won a silver medal in the 200-meter sprint event. At the 2008 Games held in Beijing, Felix won gold in the 4x400 meter relay along with silver in the 200-meter sprint. At the 2012 Summer Games in London, Felix had a dominating performance, capturing a total of three medals, all gold, in the 200-meter sprint, 4x100-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay events. Four years later, at the 2016 Rio De Janeiro Games, she won three more medals, two gold and one silver. Felix experienced similar success at the seven World Championships she participated in from 2005-2019, winning a total of 18 medals, including 13 gold. She is also a multi-time National Champion, winning the 200 meters six times, 400 meters three times and 100 meters once.

Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles, California. She competed internationally for the first time in 2001 at the World Youth Championships, winning a pair of gold medals. During her senior year in high school in 2003, Felix recorded a time of 22.11 seconds in the 200 meters at the Banamex Grand Prix in Mexico City, the fastest time ever in the under-20 category. In 2018, Felix was inducted into the National Hight School Track and Field Hall of Fame. Felix has been active in the world of sports diplomacy and, in 2014, she travelled to Brazil on behalf of the U.S. State Department to speak with kids and participate in clinics.
