Dwight Gooden Booking Agent Details

Dwight Gooden is a former MLB pitcher who played from 1984-2000 with the New York Mets (1984-1994), New York Yankees (1996-1997, 2000), Cleveland Indians (1998-1999), Houston Astros (2000) and Tampa Bay Devil Rays (2000). Gooden won three World Series during his career, in 1986 with the Mets that featured the famous play between Mookie Wilson and Bill Buckner, and later twice with the Yankees in 1996 and 2000.

Upon entering the major leagues, Gooden got off to a dominating start. He won 1984 National League Rookie of the Year honors while leading the league in strikeouts. He followed his successful rookie season up the next year by winning the pitching version of the Triple Crown, leading MLB in the major categories of ERA (1.53), wins (24) and strikeouts (268). In light of his historic season, Gooden was named the 1985 N.L. Cy Young Award winner. Gooden was a four-time All-Star, all as a member of the Mets, in 1984-1986 and 1988. In 2010, he became a member of the Mets Hall of Fame.

Known as a respectable hitting pitcher, Gooden in 1992 won a Silver Slugger Award for his ability at the plate. Shortly after joining the Yankees, in May of 1996 Gooden tossed a no-hitter and would eventually help the team to a World Series title to cap the season. In his career, Gooden compiled a 194-112 record, ERA of 3.51 with 2,293 strikeouts.
