The Oakland A’s compete in Major League Baseball’s American League West division along with the Seattle Mariners, Los Angeles Angels, Houston Astros and Texas Rangers. The A’s have played their home games at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum since 1968. The A’s were one of the eight charter franchises in the American League and were founded in 1901 in Philadelphia.
