NFL Legend Hines Ward Joins CNN as Sports Contributor on Morning Express with Robin Meade

ATLANTA, GA – NFL Legend and two-time Super Bowl Champ Hines Ward has joined CNN as sports contributor on HLN’S Morning Express With Robin Meade. Ward will also serve as commentator and analyst for major sporting events and breaking news. Source: CNN Press Room

According to the CNN Press Room article Ward’s CNN duties began July 1st:

“Beginning July 1, the Super Bowl XL MVP, joins the popular HLN morning crew of host Robin Meade, meteorologist Bob Van Dillen and consumer business correspondent Jennifer Westhoven. Morning Express with Robin Meade is a ratings juggernaut for the network.”

Hines Ward is a retired wide receiver who played fourteen seasons for the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at the University of Georgia. The Pittsburgh Steelers chose him in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and became the team’s all-time leader in receptions, receiving yardage and touchdown receptions. Ward was voted MVP of Super Bowl XL, and upon retirement was one of only eight NFL players to have 1,000 or more career receptions. Besides his career in the NFL, Ward also appeared on the reality TV series Dancing With The Stars where he won the Mirror Ball Trophy. He is currently a studio analyst for NBC’s Football Night in America and is also a popular motivational speaker.
