    CICERO, IL –- Chicago Bears legend, Dan Hampton, has been named keynote speaker on Dec. 11, 2014 at the Friends of Morton Foundation’s third annual summit at Morton College, located at 3801 S Central Ave in Cicero, Illinois. According to Sallie Nyhan, development officer for the foundation, Hampton was selected as the keynote speaker as a natural representative of the summit’s theme of Powering Through.   • Jeff Kent Named Keynote Speaker at “First Pitch” Fundraiser

    PROVO, UT. — Retired MLB second baseman, Jeff Kent, has been named the keynote speaker at the second annual “First Pitch” Fundraising Dinner/Auction to be held on Jan. 24, 2015 at the NuSkin Ballroom in Provo, Utah. The event will begin at 7 p.m., with a dinner followed by a presentation of the Cameron Tuckett Award by former BYU coach Glen Tuckett and the keynote address by Kent. Source: Desert News.

  • Dwight Gooden to Sign Autographs at Steiner Sports Store

    GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Former MLB pitcher, Dwight Gooden, is scheduled to appear on Weds. Dec. 3, 2014 from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm to meet and greet fans where he will sign autographs and memorabilia at the Steiner Sports Store located in the Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, NY. Gooden, nicknamed “Dr. K”, is a former MLB pitcher who played for the New York Mets and the New York Yankees in the mid and late 1980s.

  • Former Phillies Manager Charlie Manuel Named Guest Speaker at Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame Inductions

    ROANOKE, VA. — Former Cleveland Indians and Philadelphia Phillies manager, Charlie Manuel, has been named the guest speaker at the 24th annual hot stove banquet where five area baseball players and contributors have been selected for induction into the Salem-Roanoke Baseball Hall of Fame.     INDIAN WELLS, CA. — Baseball Hall of Famer, Willie Mays, has been named the keynote speaker at the annual Champion Honors Luncheon scheduled to be held on Jan. 14, 2015 at the Hyatt Regency Resort and Spa in Indian Wells.   • Joe Torre Honors Andy Pettitte at Safe at Home Event

    NEW YORK — Former Yankees manager, Joe Torre, was joined by MLB greats David Cone, Bernie Williams and John Franco on Nov. 13, 2014 to honor former Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte for the 12th anniversary of the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, which was founded in 2002 by Ali and Joe Torre in response to the impact that domestic violence had on Joe Torre and his family.
