Al Michaels Booking Agent Details

Al Michaels sports broadcasting career began in 1967 when he served as a color commentator for the Los Angeles Lakers. In the five-plus decades since then, Michaels has established himself as one of the most accomplished sportscasters in American history. Michaels has been on the call for some of the most memorable sports moments ever, including 10 Super Bowls and the 1980 “Miracle on Ice” Olympic hockey game in which the United States men’s team defeated the heavily-favored USSR squad. His “Do You Believe In Miracles” call has become one of the most iconic sports calls of all-time. He also covered nine Summer Olympics beginning with the 1984 Games in Los Angeles.

Michaels spent 30 years from 1976-2006 with ABC Sports and has been with NBC Sports since 2006 (he also worked for the network from 1971-1974). He called the NFL’s Monday Night Football from 1986-2006 before partnering with Cris Collinsworth on Sunday Night Football. Michaels is the only broadcaster in history to have called a Super Bowl, NBA Finals, World Series and Stanley Cup Finals.

Over the course of his career, Michaels has won eight Emmys, seven for Outstanding Sports Personality, Play-by-Play as well as a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2011. In 2021, he was named the recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award by the Baseball Hall of Fame, recognizing his excellence in broadcasting. He has been enshrined in the Television Academy Hall of Fame by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and honored by the Pro Football Hall of Fame with the Pete Rozelle Radio & Television Award. In 2004, Michaels was recognized with a star on the world-famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. In 2014, Michael authored the New York Times best-seller “You Can’t Make This Up”.
