Saints QB Drew Brees Gives Keynote Speech & Delivers Honors to Top Athletes at the All-Arkansas Preps Awards Ceremony

LITTLE ROCK, AR. — New Orleans Saints QB, Drew Brees, was the keynote speaker on Saturday, June 7, at the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette’s All-Arkansas Preps awards banquet, sponsored by St. Vincent. According to Arkansasmatters.com, to cite sources, the banquet honors 300 of the state’s best high school athletes in nine different sports. Brees presented the top honors at the event to athletes as well as delivering the keynote.

Mike Tyson Speaks to Miami Media About His Recent Iron Mike Productions Event

MIAMI, Fla. — Former Heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, stopped by Local 10 News in Miami to promote his Iron Mike Productions’event that took place on July 10 at the American Airlines Arena, located in Downtown Miami, Florida along Biscayne Bay. Tyson also plans to be courtside for the NBA final Heats/Spurs game 4 Thursday night.

Derek Fisher Set to Sign $25M Deal to Coach New York Knicks

NBA point guard, Derek Fisher, is about to switch from player to head coach. In a breaking article at Yahoo Sports, to cite sources, the former Lakers point guard is set to sign a $25 million deal to coach the Knicks. The article reports that after Knicks president Phil Jackson lost his top coaching candidate, Steve Kerr, to the Golden State Warriors, Fisher became Jackson’s primary target and the 18-year NBA veteran will retire to take the job.

MLB Manager Tony LaRussa Delivers Keynote Speech at Washington University Graduation

ST. LOUIS, MO. — Former MLB Manager, Tony LaRussa, recently gave the keynote speech to nearly 3,000 student graduates at Washington University in St. Louis on May 16 in Brookings Quadrangle on the Danforth Campus. La Russa told the graduates that young people must be willing to take chances as they begin their working lives. This was La Russa’s third time speaking at Washington University. He delivered an Assembly Series talk in 2005 and the keynote address at the William Greenleaf Eliot Society’s 45th annual dinner in 2012.
