Hall of Fame running back Tony Dorsett played in the NFL from 1977-1988, spending 11 seasons with the Dallas Cowboys from 1977-1987 before spending his final season with the Denver Broncos in 1988. Dorsett was a four-time Pro Bowl selection in 1978, 1981-1983. In 1981, he earned first-team All-Pro honors along with second-team All-Pro accolades in 1982 and 1983. After being selected by Dallas with the second pick overall in the 1977 draft, Dorsett went on to rush for 1,077 yards and scored 12 touchdowns, earning NFL Rookie of the Year honors for his efforts. That postseason, he helped the Cowboys to a 27-10 victory over the Broncos in Super Bowl XII. During his sophomore campaign in 1978, Dorsett rushed for 1,325 yards. The 1981 season saw him earn NFL Running Back of the Year honors from Football Digest after he set a Cowboys franchise record in rushing yards with 1,646.

Prior to the NFL, Dorsett enjoyed a highly celebrated collegiate career at the University of Pittsburgh. He was three times named a first-team All-American and, as a senior in 1976, Dorsett led the nation in rushing yards with 2,150 in route to winning the Heisman Trophy, Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Award. He also led Pitt to a perfect 12-0 record and National Championship via a 27-3 thumping of Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. The school retired his jersey #33 and he became a member of the College Football Hall of Fame in 1994. Dorsett was the first football player ever to win a Super Bowl, college national title and the Heisman Trophy. He was born on April 7, 1954 in Rochester, Pennsylvania.
