Oscar Robertson Booking Agent Details

Oscar Robertson is a former professional basketball player who played in the NBA for 14 seasons from 1960-1974. He is regarded as one of the best point guards to grace the game as he played for both the Cincinnati Royals and the Milwaukee Bucks during his illustrious career. Robertson was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 1980. Along with Robertson becoming a 12-time All-Star, winning MVP honors in 1964, claiming Rookie of the Year honors in 1961 and winning an NBA title in 1971, he is the first of two players in NBA history to average a triple-double in a season. During the 1961-62 season in which Robertson achieved those historic numbers, he averaged 30.8 points per game, 12.5 rebounds per game and 11.4 assists per game. Robertson went on to average 25.7 points per game and led the league in assists on six separate occasions and achieved that title in three consecutive seasons from 1963-1966.

Robertson’s career at the University of Cincinnati was sensational at the very least, despite having to deal with racism during his time period. The Charlotte, Tennessee. native grew up in Indianapolis and attended Crispus Attucks high school while living in a segregated housing project. Robertson was the star at Crispus Attucks winning back-to-back state titles. Because prestigious southern basketball schools such as Duke, North Carolina and Kentucky didn’t recruit black athletes, Robertson decided to play at Cincinnati. As a Bearcat, he became a three-time All-American and led Cincinnati to two Final Four appearances while averaging 33.8 points per game in his collegiate career, the third highest in NCAA history. He then became a territorial selection by the Cincinnati Royals in the 1960 NBA Draft.
