Matt Stover is a former NFL placekicker who remains one of the most accurate kickers in league history. Stover played from 1990-2009 with the New York Giants, Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Indianapolis Colts. Stover was on the 1990 Giants team that won Super Bowl XXV but spent the season on the injured reserve list. From 1991-95 he played for the Browns, but the following season when the Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Ravens, his career took off. Stover earned a trip to the Pro Bowl in 2000, earned First Team All-Pro honors and also won the Golden Toe Award that same year after leading the league with 35 field goals made while making 90 percent of his kicks.

The Ravens won Super Bowl XXXV and Stover made two field goals in the game while drilling all three of his extra point attempts. Stover played for the Ravens through the 2008 season, hitting a game-winning 43-yard field goal in the AFC divisional round vs. Tennessee. In 2009, his last season before retiring, he played for Indianapolis, helping the team to a berth in Super Bowl XLIV, his third appearance in the title game. After retiring, Stover was inducted into the Baltimore Ravens Ring of Honor in 2011. He is the franchise leader in field goals made.
