Hall of Fame pitcher Jack Morris played in the majors from 1977-1994 for the Detroit Tigers (1977-1990), Minnesota Twins (1991), Toronto Blue Jays (1992-1993) and Cleveland Indians (1994). Morris won four World Series – the first with Detroit in 1984 followed by Minnesota in 1991 and back-to-back wins with Toronto in 1992 and 1993. In the 1991 Fall Classic against Atlanta, Morris started three games, winning two with an impressive ERA of 1.17. In Game 7, He shutout the Braves for 10 innings in route to helping Minnesota win the game, 1-0, and clinch the Series. For his efforts, Morris was named World Series MVP. He is just one of seven players in MLB history to win back-to-back World Series while playing for different teams, joining the likes of Ben Zobrist and Jake Peavy. Morris’ jersey #47 was retired by Detroit in 2018 and he became a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame that same year.

Morris was five times named an All-Star and twice led Major League Baseball in wins, first in 1981 with 14 and again in 1992 with 21. He also led the American League with 232 strikeouts in 1983. On April 17, 1984, Morris pitched a no-hitter against the Chicago White Sox. His 14 straight starts on opening day from 1980-1993 is an MLB record. Morris was born on May 16, 1955 in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He went to college at BYU and played baseball for the Cougars before being picked by Detroit in the 1975 MLB Draft (5th round). Morris made his MLB debut with the Tigers on July 26, 1977. After his playing career ended, Morris moved to the broadcast booth working as a baseball analyst for the Blue Jays, Twins and Tigers.
