Charles “Peanut” Tillman played cornerback for the Chicago Bears (2003-2014) and Carolina Panthers (2015). He was a two-time Pro Bowl selection and 2012 first-team All-Pro. He helped the Bears win the NFC Championship in 2007 and reach Super Bowl XLI, where they lost to the Indianapolis Colts, 29-17. Tillman was born in Chicago, Illinois and attended 11 different schools while growing up due to his father’s frequent moves around the country as a sergeant in the Army. Tillman graduated from Copperas Cove High School in Austin, Texas where he was a Class 5A All-State honorable mention. Tillman played collegiately at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and was a four-year starter. He was selected by the Bears in the 2nd round of the 2003 NFL draft.

Off the field, Tillman was known for his community service. In 2005, he and his wife founded The Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation to assist children and families in-need. Tillman received a host of honors in recognition of his philanthropy, including…

In 2015, Tillman wrote a book about his experiences growing up from childhood until college titled The Middle School Rules of Charles Tillman. Tillman announced his retirement from football in 2016 and joined the FBI in 2018.
