MURRELLS INLET, S.C– MLB Hall of Famer, Wade Boggs, made an appearance on Saturday, April 5, for a charity event held at the Grand Opening for Murrells Inlet Outpost in Murrells Inlet, S.C. Before the event began, Boggs signed a few items for fans that would eventually be auctioned off live along with other items to benefit Hands of Hope Charity.
“When you’re a professional athlete or an ex-professional athlete when you give your time to something so special as the cause like Hands of Hope… when you go home and lay on that pillow it gives you a big smile on your face,” said Boggs.
Camp Hands of Hope provides a week long camp twice a year for youth and their families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. In the past Boggs has helped Hands of Hope Charity by raising money for their annual camp.
