Prince Amukamara Says I’m Called the “Black Tim Tebow”

NY Giants cornerback, Prince Amukamara, says some of his NY Giant teammates call him the “Black Tim Tebow.” Comparisons to the former Heisman Trophy winner stem from Amukamara’s recent interview with Muscle and Fitness magazine where he said he was proud of never using alcohol and maintaining his celibacy.

Amukamara, a devout Catholic, is now engaged and planning to get married this winter. The 24-year-old also said he has never tasted a sip of alcohol and is still a virgin. “Yeah, some people call me the Black Tim Tebow,” Amukamura admitted, adding: “Yeah, I am a virgin. I’m not ashamed to say that.”

Amukamara, who comes from royalty, became engaged, thanks to teammates Aaron Ross and Corey Webster. Amukamara met his future bride at a nightlub, where his teammates encouraged him to strike up a conversation. He asked for her email and the rest is history. The couple became engaged on Friday, September 13, 2013.
