WEST PALM BEACH, FL – Retired figure skater and Olympic gold medalist Dorothy Hamill was the keynote speaker at the 10th annual A Woman’s Journey health conference and luncheon on Monday, January 26, 2017. According to the Palm Beach Daily News article the conference is one of the largest that focuses on women’s health issues:

“The conference, one of the largest in the area focusing on women’s health issues, presented eight seminars on the latest advances in preventing, detecting and treating diseases such as heart disease and cancer in women at the Palm Beach County Convention Center in West Palm Beach.”

Dorothy Hamill is a retired figure skater and is the 1976 U.S. Olympic Gold Medal champion. Hamill is also the world champion gold medalist for 1976 in Göteborg, Sweden, the Ladies’ singles silver medalist for 1974 in Munich, Germany and the Ladies’ singles silver medalist for 1975 in Colorado Springs, USA. In 2008 Hamill announced she was being treated for breast cancer at Johns Hopkins.
