CLEVELAND, OH — Basketball legend, Earvin Magic Johnson, will be the keynote speaker at Cuyahoga Community College Foundation’s Presidential Scholarship Luncheon. The event is at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8 at the Renaissance Cleveland Hotel. Source: cleveland.com.
Since its inception in 1992, the luncheon has raised more than $15 million to help Tri-C students. More than 1,100 community and business leaders pack the ballroom. In recent years, the cost to attend has ranged from $1,000 for a seat to $25,000 or more for a table of 10.
Past Tri-C keynote speakers include Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton, U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Magic Johnson is best remembered as the legendary point guard who won five NBA championships and three Most Valuable Player awards while playing 13 years with the Los Angeles Lakers.
