Chipper Jones to Appear At Turner Field Where Atlanta Braves Will Retire His No.10 Jersey

The Atlanta Braves are set to honor Chipper Jones by retiring his #10 jersey and inducting him into their Hall of Fame this summer. As the face of the Atlanta Braves for over a decade and a half, Chipper Jones will earn a permanent position at Turner Field on July 28, 2013. Chipper Jones, one of the greatest third basemen of all time, is also a popular motivational speaker who makes several personal appearances each year. PFP Sports and Celebrity Talent Agency congratulates Chipper Jones on the retirement of his #10 jersey and induction into the Braves Hall of Fame.

Jones, considered on of the greatest third basemen of all time, retired at the age of 40 following the 2012 season, after playing 19 Major League seasons with the Braves. Following the Atlanta Braves announcement of Jones retirement on March 22, 2012, a fan tribute song called “The Chipper Jones Song” was featured in a number of sports blogs.

Jones ended his career hitting over .300 from each side of home plate. He and Mickey Mantle are the only two switch-hitters in MLB history to have an on-base percentage of .400, a slugging percentage of .500, and 400 homers in their careers. Jones also has the most RBIs of any player who was primarily a third baseman.

The final game of his career was the 2012 National League Wild Card Playoff. In his final at-bat, he hit a broken bat single for an infield base hit, with two outs in the bottom of the ninth.
