Morgan was there to meet and greet the fans and to sign her first book in a series of Middle Reader books, The Kicks: Saving the Team.
Denver Broncos legend, John Elway, gave sports fans a treat on Friday, September 27, when he arrived at the Legrand Tailgate Party at the CEDIA Expo booth. It turns out the Hall of Famer came to talk about a new sophisticated Vantage-based control system he had installed in his home and while at he party he also talked football. Basketball legend and businessman, Earvin “Magic” Johnson, will be the lead keynote speaker at the American Gem Society’s 2014 Conclave, the group announced. The 80th annual AGS get-together will be held at the historic Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego April 23–26, 2014. Johnson will speak about business, leadership, and his record of philanthropy, in a talk, “The Magic of Winning,” at the Conclave which begins on April 23, 2014.

Former Super Bowl and NFL wide receiver, Keyshawn Johnson, is one of 12 celebrity cast members who will appear on the upcoming 17th season of ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ The announcement of all 12 contestants came on Wednesday, September 4, on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
Johnson will be paired with professional dancer Sharna Burgess and if NFL past perfomances are a gauge, Johnson could be a favorite.
Professional athletes seem to always do well on the show and Johnson should be no exception.
Beginning on Monday, Sept. 16th, Johnson will be the only athlete to appear on the show. In past seasons, there were always several athletes as part of the cast, however, this season, Johnson is the only sports representative.

Former heavyweight boxing champ, George Foreman, has been named the featured speaker for the upcoming 2013 Casa de Amor gala fundraiser that will be held on Oct. 10 at the American Bank Center. The announcement was made Wednesday, Sept. 4, at a press conference held by the Ronald McDonald House of Corpus Christi.
ABILENE, TX. — Seven time Olympic gold medalist and cancer survivor, Shannon Miller, will join a gymnastics clinic with Gymnastics Sports Center on Sept. 25 to encourage the children to set goals and to take pictures with the participants. The clinic will cost $25 per child and limited spots are available. According to a the organization’s press release, Miller has also agreed to participate in the Alliance for Women and Children’s 11th Annual Fall Luncheon on Sept. 26 at the Abilene Civic Center, located at 1100 N 6th St, in Abilene, TX.
