Boomer Esiason Named Keynote Speaker at JCC Rockland Sports Tribute Dinner

SUFFEN, N.Y. — Former NFL QB Boomer Esiason has been named the keynote speaker and will kick off the New Year with a tribute to sports and community at its inaugural Sports Dinner. The event honors Steven Beldock, a long-serving member of the JCC’s board of directors, and Stephanie Hausner, a Clarkstown town councilwoman. Two local high school seniors, Carly Fishkin and Sam Studnitzer, will receive the first Larry Weiss Sports Teen Leadership award, which includes a $1,000 State of Israel Bond. Former Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan to Coach Buffalo Bills

Sources have told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, that former Jets head coach Rex Ryan is about to sign a five-year deal with the Buffalo Bills which would earn Ryan a salary of $5.5 million per year. Ryan and general manager John Idzik were fired on Dec. 29 after the Jets went 4-12 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Ryan is not expected to bring many, if any, of his former Jets offensive assistant coaches to Buffalo.
