The Boston Celtics
The Celtics have the most championships of any Boston team and the most of any NBA franchise with 18 championships. Between 1957 and 1969, the Celtics won 11 titles, including eight straight, with rosters that included legendary players such as Hall of Famers Bill Russell, Bob Cousy and John Havlicek.
The franchise won another two championships in the 1970’s before winning three between 1981 and 1986 with teams led by Larry Bird, Robert Parish and Kevin McHale. Since the turn of the century, Boston captured two more titles in 2008 and 2024, the latter led by Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett and the most recent led by Jayson Brown and Jayson Tatum.
