WILLIAMSBURG, KY – Retired NBA star, four-time NBA Champion, TV analyst and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal has been named as the keynote speaker for the 12th Annual Excellence in Leadership Lecture Series at the the University of the Cumberlands to be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. The event is sponsored by The Forcht Group of Kentucky and will take place in the O. Wayne Rollins Center at the University of the Cumberlands, 6178 College St, Williamsburg, KY 40769. Source: News Journal

According to the News Journal article, admission to the Leadership Lecture Series is free and is one of the programs and activities to enhance the development of leadership, character and good citizenship:

“The purpose of the Center is to provide programs and activities that enhance the development of leadership, character and good citizenship. … Free tickets will be available to the leadership program on the University of the Cumberlands’ website”

Shaquille O’Neal, nicknamed Shaq, is a former NBA center who played for six teams during his 19-year NBA career. O’Neal played for the Orlando Magic from 1992 to 1996, the Los Angeles Lakers from 1996 to 2004, the Miami Heat from 2004 to 2008, the Phoenix Suns from 2008 to 2009, the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2009 to 2010 and the Boston Celtics from 2010 to 2011. Shaquille O’Neal was one of the heaviest players ever to play in the NBA, weighing 325 pounds. O’Neal is a four-time National Champion and was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
