  • Gaylord Perry Named Keynote Speaker at Oral Roberts University Diamond Dinner

    TULSA OK. — Former MLB pitcher, Gaylord Perry, is scheduled to be the keynote speaker on Friday, Jan. 31, at Oral Roberts University’s annual Diamond Dinner. The event will take place at the Marriott Southern Hills, located at 1902 East 71st Street S. in Tulsa, Oklahoma. A silent auction will begin at 6 pm, with dinner and the evening’s program beginning at 6:30.

  • Rick Pitino Named Keynote Speaker at Steak and Steak Dinner

    SPRINGFIELD, MO. — Louisville basketball coach, Rick Pitino, has been named the keyote speaker at the annual Steak and Steak Dinner to raise funds for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield, Missouri. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at the University Plaza Convention Center in Springfield, MO.

  • NFL Great Jerome Bettis Delivers Powerful Keynote Speech at Compeer Rochester Sports Luncheon

    Former Steeelers running back, Jerome Bettis, aka: The Bus,’ was the keynote speaker at Ben R. Giambrone/Compeer Rochester Sports Luncheon held on Wednesday, Nov. 18, at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center. Compeer Rochester, which is celebrating 40 years, provides mental wellness services to at-risk adults, veterans and youth. Its model for success is supportive one-to-one relationships.

  • David Thompson Named Keynote Speaker at Community Boys & Girls Club in N.C.

    WILMINGTON, N.C. — Former NC State basketball legend and NBA star, David Thompson, was the keynote speaker on November 21, at the annual dinner fundraiser for the Community Boys & Girls Club in Wilmington, N.C. Before the actual event took place, Thompson held a news conference where he spoke about the issues of gang violence in the New Hanover County area and the specific need for after-school programs and a safe place for youth. Thompson continued speaking about gang violence during his keynote speech.

  • Jimmie Johnson Wins 6th NASCAR Title – VIDEO

    HOMESTEAD, Fla. — NASCAR driver, Jimmie Johnson, who won a record five straight titles from 2006 through 2010, just won his sixth Sprint Cup title in eight years on Sunday, November 17, making him one of the fiercest competitors in NASCAR sports history. At the age of 38, Johnson, is now the youngest driver to win six titles, with a career that has plenty more staying power for years to come.

  • Bruce Pearl Named Keynote Speaker at Boys and Girls Club of Dumplin Valley

    DANDRIDGE, TN — Former Tennessee basketball coach, Bruce Pearl, was the keynote speaker at the annual Boys and Girls Club of Dumplin Valley’s Great Futures Barbeque Feast. Pearl spoke about the importance of youth programs like the Boys & Girls Club. At the end of the evening, guests were given an opportunity to make a financial contribution to further the cause and help the Boys & Girls Clubs of Dumplin Valley continue delivering the quality programs and valuable services for which they have come to be known.   • Dodgers Legend Steve Garvey Signs Autographs at Dick’s Sporting Goods In Palm Desert

    PALM DESERT, CA. — Dodgers legend, Steve Garvey, appeared at Dick’s Sporting Goods store in the Westfield shopping mall in Palm Desert, CA. on Sunday, November 10. Approximately 350 baseball fans showed up to meet one of the greatest Los Angeles Dodgers players, Steve Garvey, who devoted about two hours to signing autographs at the new Dick’s Sporting Goods store that opened that weekend at the Westfield shopping mall.

  • Cris Carter Receives HOF Ring at Ceremony In Minnesota

    MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Former Minnesota Vikings great, Cris Carter, returned to Minnesota Thursday, Nov. 7,  to be honored at halftime in a ceremony that presented him the Hall of Fame ring. When Carter was presented the ring by the official from the Pro Football Hall of Fame, he proudly slipped it on his finger, staring long and hard at it.

  • Ryan Lochte Suffers Knee Injury Caused by Overzealous Fan

    Five-time gold medalist , Ryan Lochte, was literally swept off his feet, after a run in with an excited teenage fan. As a result, he has been forced to stop training after suffering a serious knee injury, courtesy of an overzealous female fan, who literally ran over the Olympic gold medalist, causing him to lose his balance.

  • Aaron Rodgers Temporarily Out With Fractured Left Collarbone (VIDEO)

    Green Bay Packer’s star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers, made an announcement on his radio show Tuesday, November 5, that he is out for now due to a fractured left collarbone he received during the opening possession of the Packers’ loss Monday night to the Bears. Aaron Rodgers was injured November 4, 2013 on the opening possession of the Packers’ loss Monday night to the Chicago Bears. (more…)
