  • Tim Tebow Says He Has Turned Down 7 Figure Endorsement Deals

    Ever since Tim Tebow was drafted in last month’s NFL draft by the Denver Broncos, he has become one of the Bronco’s most marketable players since John Elway. Tim Tebow says he feels  future endorsement deals could be a distraction from football.

    In April alone, Tebow lead the entire NFL in jersey sales, and has landed deals with Nike and EA sports. Tebow is now saying he’s actually turned down several seven-figure deals because he thought they would be a distraction from football. (more…)

  • Oakland Athletics Dallas Braden Pitches Perfect Game – Video

    OAKLAND, CA – Dallas Braden, the 26 year old left handed pitcher for The Oakland Athletics, pitched a perfect game beating the Tampa Bay Rays 4-0. Braden made this the 19th perfect game in MLB, making him the second person in less than a year to accomplish this feat.

    After the game, Braden hugged his grandmother Peggy Lindsey, who raised him after his mother died of skin cancer eight years ago when he was a senior in high school. It was an emotional moment and a fitting Mother’s Day gift for Braden’s grandmother. When Lindsey met with reporters after the game, she said, “Stick it, A-Rod!” (more…)

  • Lawrence Taylor Arrested for Alleged Rape of 16 Yr Old Girl

    SUFFERN, N.Y – Lawrence Taylor, former NFL linebacker, was arrested this morning for allegedly raping and beating a 16 year-old girl. According to CBS News, Taylor, 51, was taken into custody by the Town of Ramapo police after being accused of raping someone in the Holiday Inn Holidome Hotel in Suffern.

    The story is still developing and details surrounding the rape have not yet been released other than the location and that it occurred early this morning. Charges against the Hall of Fame linebacker will be filed once police complete their investigation. (more…)

  • Nick Rogers, Former NFL Linebacker, Killed in Car Accident

    COLLEGE PARK, GA – The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Former Georgia Tech star, Nick Rogers, who was an NFL linebacker from 2002-05, died in a car crash early Monday morning.

    The newspaper reports that Rogers, 30, was killed in a single-vehicle wreck in College Park about 1:30 a.m. Monday morning. According to the Fulton County medical examiner, Rogers’ vehicle left the road and struck a power pole. (more…)

  • Lebron James Dominates Bulls Scores Mid Court Shot at Buzzer – Video

    CHICAGO, IL – Does Lebron James really surprise us anymore? Heck yes! The Cleveland Cavaliers dominated The Chicago Bulls throughout Sunday’s game as the Cavaliers went on to comfortably win and just as the third quarter ended with less than one second remaining, James threw a long-range shot from near mid court making a three point shot just as the buzzer sounded.   • Denver Broncos Pick Tim Tebow in 1st Round Draft

    RADIO CITY MUSIC HALL, NY – A mix of cheers and boos from the audience took place when the Denver Broncos shocked the NFL Thursday night, April 22, 2010, by picking Florida quarterback Tim Tebow in the first round of the NFL Draft.

    Earlier in the round the Broncos chose Georgia Tech wide receiver Demaryius Thomas and then used a package of mid-round selections to trade up for Tebow. The Broncos chose Tebow at 25 in the first round. (more…)

    April 21, 2010 – FOXNews and ESPN report that Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be suspended for four to six games on Wednesday for violating the NFL’s personal conduct policy.

  • Who is The Top Wide Receiver In the Upcoming NFL Draft?

    The NFL draft has become an event unto itself. Sure, it’s not as big as the NFL regular season or playoffs, but give props to the league for turning football into a year-round sport. In the case of the draft, it gets bigger every year. And for the first time, the first round will be aired during prime-time on ESPN Thursday night.

    Demaryius Thomas, Golden Tate and Eric Decker are top picks in the 2010 NFL draft.

    One of the interesting aspects of the draft is to follow the predictions from the so-called “experts”, guys like Mel Kiper and Todd McShay. If you compare their first-round predictions, they’ll be lucky to have more than a handful of the same picks. (more…)

    According to Entertainment Tonight’s Kevin Frazier, Tiger Woods’ marriage to Elin Nordegren is over. Is it so hard to believe that a divorce is about to be finalized after everything Elin has been through?

    “It was believed by going to sex rehab that Tiger had done just enough to keep his family together,” Frazier reports. “But sources have told me that the marriage is indeed over.”

    AUGUSTA, GA – April 11, 2010, Phil Mickelson wins The Masters for a third time sharing his emotional win with wife Amy. Congratulations Phil for an outstanding game and very much deserved win. After Mickelson sank the final winning putt on the 18th hole, his wife Amy, who has been diagnosed with breast cancer, was there waiting for him.

    All eyes were on Mickelson as he embraced his wife for 27 seconds before a short kiss. A tear was seen rolling down his cheek as he was overcome with joy. (more…)
