NFL Draft 2011 Round 1 Picks Are In. Carolina Chooses Cam Newton with No. 1 Pick

Round 1 of the 2011 NFL Draft picks are in. Auburn quarterback Cam Newton was selected as the first pick overall by the Carolina Panthers in the NFL football draft at Radio City Music Hall on Thursday, April 28, 2011, in New York. Cam Newton, Heisman Trophy Winner, is selected by Carolina Panthers in 2011 NFL Draft.

Texas A&M linebacker Von Miller went No. 2 overall to the Denver Broncos.

Rounds two and three of the draft will resume on Friday at 6 p.m. ET and rounds four through seven will start on Saturday at noon.
