Jeff Garcia Named Keynote Speaker at 2015 Humboldt State Celebrity Dinner Sports Auction on March 28, 2015

ARCATA, CA. — Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback, Jeff Garcia, has been named the keynote speaker at the 2015 Humboldt State Celebrity Dinner Sports Auction to be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 in Lumberjack Arena. Previous guest speakers have included Tim Brown, Rick Barry, Jim Harbaugh, Misty May, Joe Frazier and Steve Young. Tickets are $100 where the funds raised at the event go toward scholarships for student-athletes. Last year the event raised more than $251,000. Source: Time-Standards.com.

Ed “Too Tall” Jones Named Guest Speaker at 2015 West Texas Sports Banquet

MIDLAND, TX. — Former Dallas Cowboys legend Ed “Too Tall” Jones has been named a guest speaker at the 2015 West Texas Sports Banquet and Memoribilia Auction. Former Chicago Cubs and Texas Rangers pitcher Ferguson Jenkins “Fergie” will be the keynote speaker replacing Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez who was not able to attend for personal reasons. Pete Carroll Falls on His Sword After Crushing Super Bowl Loss

PHOENIX, AZ. — After the Seahawks crushing Super Bowl loss against the Patriots on Sunday, of course in retrospect, we all ask the same question, “Why didn’t they give the ball to Lynch?” But what if the pass would’ve succeeded? Like in so many of the Seahawks gutsy calls in past games, Peter Carroll, Russell Wilson and his strategists would have been called nothing short of brilliant … except on this one somber Super Bowl Sunday.

Former Jets Head Coach Rex Ryan to Coach Buffalo Bills

Sources have told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, that former Jets head coach Rex Ryan is about to sign a five-year deal with the Buffalo Bills which would earn Ryan a salary of $5.5 million per year. Ryan and general manager John Idzik were fired on Dec. 29 after the Jets went 4-12 and missed the playoffs for the fourth straight season. Ryan is not expected to bring many, if any, of his former Jets offensive assistant coaches to Buffalo.
