Carl Lewis To Run For New Jersey Senate

A NJ state Democratic Party official says that Olympic gold medalist, Carl Lewis, is planning to run for the New Jersey Senate and will announce his candidacy for the 8th Legislative District Monday.

St. John’s Basketball Coach Steve Lavin Has Cancer

St. John’s basketball coach, Steve Lavin, said in a statement today that he has prostate cancer. Lavin is 46 years old.

The former UCLA Bruins coach announced Friday that he was diagnosed in September with prostate cancer but was told he could delay treatment until after the season. He plans to undergo treatment soon and says it will not affect his coaching. ... Read More
