Sasha Cohen is an American figure skater who won an Olympic silver medal at the 2016 Winter Games in Turn, Italy. She also medaled at three World Figure Skating Championships, winning bronze in 2003, silver in 2005 and bronze again in 2006, all of which she won before age 23. Born in 1982, Cohen began figure skating at age seven and in 2002 won silver at the U.S. Championships as well as silver at the Cup of Russia the same year. 2002 also saw her win the Trophee Lalique within the Grand Prix of Figure Skating.

In 2003’s Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final held in St. Petersburg, Russia, Cohen took home the gold medal in the ladies’ singles category. Besides success at the 2006 Olympic, that same year she also won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Cohen finished in fourth place at the 2010 U.S. Championships, just missing a slot to join the Olympic Team. In 2015, it was announced that she would be inducted into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2016. After retiring from competition in 2010, Cohen worked on Stars on Ice and has enjoyed an acting career in movies, television and commercials.
