Bob Brenly managed Major League Baseball’s Arizona Diamondbacks from 2001-2004 and led them to their first and only World Series championship in 2001. In four years at the helm of the Diamondbacks, Brenly’s managing record was 303-262. Prior to the Diamondbacks, Brenly coached for the San Francisco Giants under Roger Craig and Dusty Baker.

Prior to managing, Brenly spent 9 years as a catcher after signing with the Giants in 1976. He played for the Giants (1981-1988, 1989) and Toronto Blue Jays (1989) and enjoyed his best season with the bat in 1984 when he hit .291 with 20 homers and 80 RBI and was named an All-Star. In 871 games played, Brenly hit .247 with 647 hits, 91 homers and 333 RBI. He was strong defensively and recorded a career fielding percentage of .984. Brenly is a member of the Giants Wall of Fame.

Brenly has also enjoyed a successful broadcasting career. In 2013, he was named the tv analyst for the Arizona Diamondbacks on FOX Sports Arizona. He previously spent 8 seasons from 2005-2012 working as an analyst for Chicago Cubs games and has also worked for TBS on its baseball broadcasts, covering numerous All-Star Games, playoff games and World Series.
