ATLANTA, GA. — Congratulations to Louisville Coach, Rick Pitino, who became one of seven inductees elected to the Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday April 8, 2013, just before winning the 2013 N.C.A.A. title. Pitino, who just won his second national title, is the only men’s coach in N.C.A.A history to lead three different schools to the Final Four: Providence, Kentucky and Louisville. It was only hours after the announcement that he had been elected to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, that Pitino tried to become the first coach in N.C.A.A. history to win national championships with two colleges when Louisville played Michigan at the Georgia Dome.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a pretty special distraction,\u201d Pitino said at the Hall of Fame announcement in Atlanta, before his Cardinals went on to win, 82-76.<\/p>\n
