Pro Bowl middle linebacker, Ray Lewis, who has been sidelined for the last seven games due to a torn right triceps he suffered against the Cowboys in Week 6, is expected to play against the Denver Broncos in Sunday’s game, according to Raven\u2019s coach, John Harbaugh. Ray Lewis, a popular motivational speaker at PFP Sports and Celebrity Talent Agency, is hopeful he will be back in action against Denver after suffering a torn triceps which sidelined him for 7 weeks.
\n<\/p>\n
An injury like a torn triceps usually requires 4-6 months recovery time, but Lewis was practicing on the field last Wednesday, less than two months after receiving the injury.<\/p>\n
No one was more optimistic than Raven’s coach, John Harbaugh, when asked if there was a chance Lewis would play against Denver.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere is a chance, yes,\u201d Harbaugh said.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s making good progress, and we\u2019ll just have to see how he practices this week,\u201d Harbaugh said. \u201cGoing into Wednesday, we\u2019ll know a lot more because he is going to push it a little bit over the next two days. (We\u2019re) looking forward to seeing how that plays out.\u201d<\/p>\n
Lewis, however, is not the only Raven’s player to be plagued by injuries. Marshal Yanda suffered a sprained right ankle during last Sunday\u2019s loss to the Redskins and may be out for Sunday’s game. He is awaiting results from an MRI.<\/p>\n
The Capital Gazette reports:<\/p>\n
Middle linebacker Jameel McClain suffered what looked to be a potentially serious neck injury during the third quarter of Sunday\u2019s loss, but Harbaugh said after the game that X-rays on McClain\u2019s neck were negative.<\/p>\n
\u201cJameel McClain is going to be OK,\u201d Harbaugh said Monday. \u201cHe\u2019s got to get some testing done, but he should be OK. That\u2019s standard procedure.\u201d<\/p>\n
Running back Ray Rice (hip contusion) and Bernard Pierce (lower back strain) also suffered injuries Sunday, as did defensive linemen Arthur Jones (shoulder bruise) and Pernell McPhee (groin), but all four ailments are considered minor.<\/p>\n
Fullback Vonta Leach sustained a sprained ankle that Harbaugh said will be monitored throughout the week.<\/p>\n
Outside linebacker Terrell Suggs (torn biceps) was sidelined Sunday, but Harbaugh said Monday there\u2019s a \u201cgood chance\u201d Suggs will be available when the Ravens host to the Broncos this weekend.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
