The SF Giants celebrate after Sergio Romo struck out Miguel Cabrera on Sunday, Oct 28, to win the World Series in a four-game series sweep over the Detroit Tigers.<\/p>\n

The Giants were down 3 games to 1 to the Cardinals in the playoffs, but won game 5 and game 6 in seven to get to the World series and now it took 4 games to win the World series beating the Tigers 4-3.<\/p>\n

According to FoxSports, the Giants became the first champion that hit the fewest home runs in the majors since St. Louis in 1982. Pablo Sandoval’s three drives in Game 1 started San Francisco’s momentum, and its dominant pitching took over from there, to become the first NL team since the Big Red Machine in the mid-1970s to win two titles in a three-year span.<\/p>\n
